They recorded successful albums and toured Ireland, England Scotland, and the US. Playing support gigs in the US, Tulsa (Oakridge Boy’s, Roy Clarke, Charlie Rich Don Williams). Shortly after this, he was reunited in this line up on a Merle Haggard Show after winning a national competition. It was at the televised Wembley Country Music Festival in London where he shared the stage with Johnny Cash, George Jones, Dolly Parton, and Don Williams to name but a few! The show reached audiences in Europe, Canada, and the US. Audiences and musicians alike, in Scotland England and Ireland kept Steve busy through the late seventies with gigs, studio sessions and TV appearances.
Steve toured and preformed with the comic Billy Connolly on his acclaimed national tour of Ireland (Dublin, Derry, Belfast). 1981 Armagh (not the place!) a loved Canadian
showband, courted Steve and as the new immigrant member, they played for 4 years to packed houses in local hotels and venues nationally.
