The Auld Shebeen, in Fairfax, Virginia, is only 20 miles from Washington DC and Alexandria, Virginia and 10 miles from Tysons Corner. Once inside, you’re instantly transformed to Ireland; enjoying our warm Irish hospitality, traditional Irish fare and well-stocked bar. Owners Mick Boyle and Dominic Keane established The Auld Shebeen in 2004. Changing with the times and the blossoming City of Fairfax, Mick and Dominic love being a part of the growth and charm of the Fairfax community. You’re bound to see one or both of them on any given day at the pub. You can’t miss the Irish accents and expressions that are just a bit of what brings the Emerald Isle to Fairfax.

Bar seating is back and we are back at full capacity, a sight for sore eyes! We have been waiting for these days for so long and we are absolutely delighted they are finally here. What a difficult time it’s been for everyone! However, as we transition back, increasing hours of operation, rebuilding our menus with new dishes and of course all your favorites, please bear with us as we return to normal staff levels in both front and back of house as we try to ensure our guests have that wonderful experience The Auld Shebeen is known for. We will get there very shortly but appreciate your patience and understanding over the next few weeks.
We are now working on booking our entertainment, we will keep our website up to date and on our Facebook page for our current schedule and updates.
We cannot thank you enough for all your support over the last year. We truly could not have done it without you and here’s to a bright future for all of us! We hope everyone stays healthy and remember, “Tough times don’t last, tough people do”.
In Ireland, a Shebeen was an after-hours speakeasy where once inside, you would find good familiar conversation, friends, food, and drink. Fascinating history surrounds these pubs, and will forever be a part of Irish lore.
